The parents of students at an elementary school in Ohio had a Friday night out this May!
The school has a service club which organized a special fundraising event called “Parents’ Night Out” in honor of one of the club members who has a desmoid tumor in his thigh. He has been very brave facing this scary and rare diagnosis–his family, as well.
How did this event work?
Parents dropped their students off at the school for three hours of fun in the gym and cafeteria. Kids and parents both loved this event. The fee was $10 per student. With registrations and donations the club raised $2555.00 for desmoid tumor research.
Thank you to all volunteer and participants for fundraising for DTRF in honor of one of their members!
