DFC (Desmoid Tumour Foundation of Canada) is the only Canadian foundation helping to support the Canadian desmoid community by raising funds for research as well as providing a framework for a support network.

While they do not have the staff to respond to patient emails, we can direct desmoid patients when possible to resources in the US and/or Canada as well as provide advice on supporting fundraising initiatives in local communities.

On May 3, 2018, the Desmoid Tumour Foundation of Canada-DFC hosted “A Rare Experience for a Rare Disease,” its 2nd annual networking and fundraising event. Over 180 people attended the event in Toronto, which included an impressive live auction with a heartwarming surprise…

An attendee won an auction item for a weekend suite at the St Regis Hotel and GAVE it to Meghan, a 21 year old desmoid patient who spoke at the event. She said Meghan’s talk had moved her deeply and that she had been diagnosed with cancer when she was also just 21 years old. It was a beautiful moment of generosity and connection.
