Dr. Jeff Rytlewski specializes in the care of patients with soft tissue and bone sarcomas, with expertise in the use of systemic therapies, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and clinical trials. He is dedicated to providing compassionate care and helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment to help make informed decisions throughout their cancer journey.

Because sarcomas are rare and complex cancers, he believes patients deserve access to specialized, multidisciplinary care and the chance to participate in innovative clinical research when appropriate for their care.

His research focuses on advancing treatments for sarcomas through clinical trials, including early phase clinical trials. He aims to improve outcomes from sarcoma by bringing promising new therapies and therapeutic strategies from the laboratory to clinic.

He completed his medical degree at Indiana University, followed by residency and research training at the University of Iowa, and completed fellowship at the University of Colorado.

Dr. Gabriel Tinoco is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and Associate Director of Ambulatory Clinical Operations in the Division of Medical Oncology at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital, where he specializes in sarcoma oncology, including desmoid tumors. He leads precision oncology and translational research initiatives focused on biomarker discovery, liquid biopsy, and novel clinical trials for soft tissue and bone sarcomas.

Dr. Tinoco serves as principal or co-principal investigator on multiple investigator-initiated and cooperative group trials and is actively involved in national and international sarcoma research and patient care collaborations.

Dr. Elnekave is a consultant interventional radiologist practicing clinically in Israel and the United States. Dr. Elnekave completed his interventional radiology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2012. He served as the director of the Interventional Oncology service at Rabin Medical Center from 2014-2022 and the founding director of the Kahn Unit for interventional Oncology at Share Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem in 2022.

Dr Elnekave leads a multidisciplinary team of bioengineers, data scientists and cancer biologists aplying the tools of vascular interventional radiology to the realization of personalized cancer therapy. 

He is an active member of the Society for Interventional Oncology, the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe and the EORTC Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcoma Group.

Dr. Navid is a Pediatric Oncologist, Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, and Medical Director for Clinical Research for the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Her primary clinical and research interests are in pediatric bone and soft-tissue sarcomas (including desmoid tumors) and early phase drug development for pediatric solid tumors. She is an active member of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) Soft Tissue Sarcoma and Developmental Therapeutics Committees. Specific to desmoid tumors, Dr. Navid leads the COG phase 2 study of nirogacestat in children and adolescents with unresectable desmoid tumors (ARST1921).

Dr. Reineke Schoot is a pediatric oncologist at the Princess Máxima Center in Utrecht, The Netherlands. She is a group leader in drug development for patients with solid tumors, with particular expertise in sarcomas. Dr. Schoot is principal investigator of several clinical trials, including studies with registration intent.

In collaboration with Dr. Michela Casanova of Istituto Tumori Milano, she is leading the development of the OCTOPUS platform trial, a master protocol comprising multiple sub-trials focused on the treatment of pediatric patients with soft tissue sarcoma. This research is conducted within the EpSSG (European paediatric Soft tissue sarcoma Study Group) and the ITCC (Innovative Therapies for Children and adolescents with Cancer) network. One of the first sub-trials within OCTOPUS is dedicated to pediatric patients with desmoid tumors.

Dr. Herbert H. Loong holds conjoint appointments of Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Oncology and Medical Director (Oncology) of the Phase 1 Clinical Trials Centre of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Loong obtained his medical degree with a Distinction in Surgery from The University of Hong Kong in 2003. He has completed a Fellowship in Drug Development at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada with a focus on Experimental Therapeutics. His clinical and research interests include Thoracic Oncology and Sarcoma Medical Oncology. He was elected as a Fellow of ASCO (FASCO) in 2024.

In recent years, Dr. Loong has co-founded the Asia Pacific Oncology Drug Development Consortium (APODDC) and the Asia Pacific Coalition Against Lung Cancer (APCLC).

Dr. Loong has served or continues to serve in various capacities in various professional international oncology bodies, including the International Affairs Committee (IAC) and the Asia-Pacific Regional Council of ASCO. After completing his role as the Chair of the IAC of ASCO (2024-25), He currently serves as the Immediate Past Chair (2025-2026). He has also served in the Membership, Education and Communications Committees of the IASLC. He was selected as a Board Member of the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) for 2022-2024. Dr. Loong is a current Steering Committee member of the Lung Cancer Policy Network (LCPN). In his prior appointment as a member of Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong, he oversaw the registration of medicinal products and clinical trials in the territory.
