A Note from Nick:
This year, I’ve decided to take on the Lakeland Trails 100km Ultra run in support of the Desmoid Tumour Research Foundation (DTRF).
This charity does incredible work, they aggressively fund desmoid tumor research, accelerate the development of improved therapies, drive collaborations among clinicians and researchers worldwide, and support patients and doctors through education. Their goal is to find a cure for each and every patient diagnosed with this rare disease. I’m proud to be running to raise money and awareness for their mission.
This challenge carries a personal connection as a close friend’s 8 year old son, Jackson was diagnosed with a Desmoid Tumour in 2024. Hearing about his positive approach and tackling each day with a smile will undoubtedly provide inspiration and drive to get around the course.
With over 11000 ft of climbing, there is a 23hr limit, with strict cut off times throughout the route, but knowing that I’m doing this for such an important cause will be just the tonic. Every donation, no matter the size, will help DTRF continue their vital work and make a real difference in people’s lives. If you can, please support me and this amazing cause by donating through my page.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and generosity!
